With the Omni Hotel confirmed for a March 6 opening, and the Kentucky International Convention Center slated to open August 1, Downtown Louisville continues its historic period of revitalization with the addition of even more development projects, representing $1.78 billion in investment slated to be completed by 2019.
“We currently have 60 development projects announced or already underway within the Central Business District,” says Rebecca Matheny, Executive Director of the Louisville Downtown Partnership (LDP). “This truly is a historic new chapter in our city’s development, which is the culmination of many years of hard work and planning on behalf of the entire public and private community. Our citizens should be proud and very enthused about what their Downtown will look like in 2019.”
LDP also wants citizens to know that Downtown remains open for business and encourages people to come Downtown to check out all of the exciting developments for themselves.
“There is a reason we are experiencing such tremendous growth and attracting investors from all over the region,” Matheny adds.
LDP just released an updated version of “Transformation by the Numbers” to the public so the community is aware of the major highlights happening Downtown.
