The results are in. JCPS has 45 projects and six service team members from 32 schools qualified to attend the STLP State Championship.
The STLP Regional Showcase was held at the University of Louisville on November 17. Participation included 566 students at 43 JCPS schools; 70 projects and 36 students interviewing for service teams.
The Kentucky Department of Education’s Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) uses project-based learning principles to empower student learning and achievement through the utilization (and creation) of technology to solve school and community needs. STLP provides a means for students to design, make, connect and learn.
The following schools qualify to attend the STLP State Championship:
Auburndale Elementary, Bates Elementary, Blake Elementary, Camp Taylor Elementary, Carrithers Middle School, Chancey Elementary, Chenoweth Elementary, Crums Lane Elementary, Eastern High School, Farmer Elementary, Farnsley Middle School, Field Elementary, Greathouse-Shyrock Elementary, Hite Elementary, Jaeger Preschool, Kennedy Montessori Elementary, Knight Middle School, Layne Elementary, Manual High School, Mezeek Middle School, Norton Commons Elementary, Okolona Elementary, Olmsted North, Olmsted South, Portland Elementary, Roosevelt-Perry Elementary, Sanders Elementary, Shelby Traditional Academy, Stopher Elementary, Stuart Academy, The Academy at Shawnee, and Western Middle School for the Arts.
The STLP State Championship will be held on March 29, 2018.
